InSite was engaged by Aldar to provide Landscape for the Public Realm for the Al Merief Development - a distinctive Emirati community project in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi. Al Merief  aims to create a sustainable residential community integrated within the surrounding context of Etihad Plaza and Mazdar. The public realm design draws inspiration from the nearby mangroves and uses contemporary abstractions of these forms to  create a rustic parkland character and to give a sense of place throughout the community.
